How EasyClippers handles your data.
Who is responsible
NEOTECH Inc., doing business as EasyClippers, #5 2550 Gordon Ave, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia V3C 2K4, Canada, is responsible for your personal data. Privacy questions and requests: support@easyclippers.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, display name and a hashed password (or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google).
- Content you give us: the streams and videos you ask EasyClippers to capture or upload, the clips we make from them, transcripts, and your editing settings.
- Linked channels: when you link a social account, we (or Upload-Post, which publishes for us) receive the access needed to post for you, plus your channel or profile ID, display name and avatar. Tokens we hold are encrypted at rest.
- Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, your plan and its status, and your credit balance and purchases, never your card details.
- Usage: how much stream time and AI work your account uses, so we can show it to you and take the right number of credits.
- Visits: the pages you open on easyclippers.com and in the app, the site or campaign link that brought you there, the buttons that start a sign-up, and your device type, browser, language, screen width and time zone. We count visits without cookies and without storing your IP address: each visitor gets a code made from a random key that changes every day, so a visit cannot be linked to the next day's. When you create an account, it keeps where your first visit came from. We use our own system for this, not an outside analytics or advertising company.
- Referral links: if you open an EasyClippers member's referral link (easyclippers.com/r/...), we keep that member's referral code in a cookie in your browser for 30 days, so they get credit if you create an account. The cookie holds only that code. If you sign up, your account records which member referred you, and they see your first name's initial, a short code and the amount of each payment that earns them a commission, never your email address, your videos or anything else in your account. To stop people from referring themselves, we compare the card fingerprint Stripe gives us and the daily visit code above between the two accounts; no new cookie is set and no address is stored for it.
How we use it
- To find moments, edit clips and show them to you.
- To publish a clip to a channel you linked, only when you press Publish or turn on auto-posting for that channel.
- To run your plan, its hours and credits, and enforce plan limits.
- To email you about your account: the code that confirms your email address, password resets, and important notices such as a failed payment or a paused recording. These are not marketing emails.
- To learn which pages, posts and ads bring creators to EasyClippers, and how the app is used, so we can improve both. Visit records are deleted after about 13 months.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Processors
These companies process data for us, only to provide EasyClippers:
- Hetzner hosts the app, your recordings and your clips on servers in Germany, and keeps the copies in our cloud storage (Hetzner Object Storage, also in Germany). Until mid-November 2026, Tigris (through Fly.io) also holds a spare copy of that storage from before our move, which is then deleted.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a sign-up comes from a person, not a bot. It sees your IP address and browser details for that check only.
- Cloudflare carries our requests to YouTube when we record a YouTube stream.
- Google (Gemini API) watches stretches of your streams and finished shorts to find and judge moments, using its paid API, under which Google does not use the content to train its models.
- OpenRouter routes the editor's planning requests (transcripts, chat and moment notes, not video) to the AI model providers it serves, such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google.
- OpenAI and Cloudflare draw stickers and background images from short text descriptions. No footage is sent.
- Modal runs a backup AI model on rented GPUs when the main one is unavailable. Video sent for analysis is not kept after the request.
- Stripe handles payments. Resend sends account emails. Healthchecks.io and UptimeRobot check that our servers are up; they receive no personal data.
- Upload-Post, Google (YouTube Data API) and TikTok (Content Posting API) publish clips you choose to post, under their own privacy policies. EasyClippers's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your storage and how long we keep your videos
Your EasyClippers storage keeps everything you make: finished shorts, the footage behind them, raw clips, full recordings and long videos. Every plan includes 100 GB, and you can add more in 100 GB blocks for 499 credits ($4.99) a month each, paid from your credits. Added storage counts at once; fewer blocks take effect at the next renewal, without a refund. A renewal your credits cannot cover is retried with your automatic top-up if you turned it on, and otherwise your extra storage stays for 7 more days before it ends. We keep your files in cloud storage run for us by our hosting provider.
Nothing is removed while your files fit in your storage. If they ever do not (for example after your extra storage or your plan ends), we tell you by email and in the app at least 7 days before anything is removed, list the files, and say exactly how much storage would keep everything. You can add storage, download your files, or delete what you no longer need; a reminder comes the day before. Kept shorts and recordings and starred clips are removed last, and nothing a scheduled post still needs is removed. EasyClippers can also save a copy of everything to a folder on your computer automatically (Chrome, Edge or Brave on a computer); those copies are yours, and you are responsible for keeping them. Approving a short tells us you are done editing it, so its footage is removed about 10 minutes later, once the approval can no longer be undone (switch on Keep first to keep it); rejecting one keeps its footage for 12 hours so you can undo, then removes it too.
Retention and deletion
How long we keep footage, shorts and long videos is set out above. You can unlink a channel at any time in Settings, Channels, which deletes its tokens and revokes our access where the platform allows it. You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account, at any time in Settings, Account. Deleting closes the account at once and everything in it is deleted for good 7 days later; records we must keep for payments and accounting are kept without your content. Our server logs keep the time, page and result of each request, never your IP address or what you looked up or typed, and they are overwritten as they fill. Copies of our database are kept up to 14 days on our server and, encrypted, 14 days in a separate locked store, so a deleted account leaves them within 14 days.
Why we may use it
We use your data to provide the service you signed up for, to keep it safe and working well, and where the law requires it. Visit counts and product improvements rest on our legitimate interest in running and improving EasyClippers, without cookies or tracking across other sites.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your data at any time in Settings, Account, or by writing to support@easyclippers.com; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also object to or restrict how we use your data, and complain to your data protection authority. In Canada, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
EasyClippers is not for children under 13 (16 in the European Union). If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
Passwords are hashed, linked-account tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM), all traffic uses HTTPS, and the database copies kept off our server are encrypted and locked against deletion for 14 days.
