Connect EasyClippers to Claude and ChatGPT
Add EasyClippers to Claude or ChatGPT once, then run it by asking: "record my stream", "what are my best shorts from last night", "post that one to TikTok".
EasyClippers works as a connector (an MCP server) in Claude and ChatGPT. Once it is connected, the assistant can look at your projects and shorts, start and stop recordings, clip a moment while you are live, ask the EasyClippers Ask bar to do anything else, check your credits, and post a short to your linked accounts when you ask it to. It acts only on your own account, and you can disconnect it at any time.
What you can do from a chat
- See your work: your projects (recorded streams and uploads), your shorts with their titles, captions, words and status, where each one was posted, and the credits and stream hours you have left.
- Record: "Record twitch.tv/yourname for two hours" starts a recording; "stop recording" stops it. What was recorded is kept and made into shorts as usual.
- Clip now: while a stream records, "clip that" pins the last minute so it becomes a short.
- Ask EasyClippers: anything the Ask bar in the app does, such as making shorts from a project now or re-making a short in another style. When the Ask bar prepares a plan, the assistant tells you what it will do and runs it only if you say yes.
- Post: "Post my newest approved short to TikTok and YouTube" posts that one short, within each network's daily limit.
You need an EasyClippers account. Recording and new shorts use credits as they do in the app, so they need a plan or the free trial, and posting needs your channels linked in Settings, Channels.
Claude
Add the connector on claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it once in Organization settings, Connectors, and each member then presses Connect.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Press Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it EasyClippers and paste this server address, then press Continue:
https://easyclippers.com/mcp
- Claude finds the sign-in by itself. Keep it as it is and press Add. If connecting fails later, open the connector's settings and choose Register automatically under OAuth client.
- Press Connect. An EasyClippers page opens: sign in if it asks, check what Claude will be allowed to do, and press Allow. You go back to Claude.
- In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and turn EasyClippers on.
Prefer a token? Make a personal token in EasyClippers (see below). When you add the connector, choose No sign in and add a request header instead: the header name is Authorization and its value is Bearer, a space, then your token.
Claude Code
Add EasyClippers from a terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http easyclippers https://easyclippers.com/mcp
Or with a personal token instead of signing in:
claude mcp add --transport http easyclippers https://easyclippers.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds custom connectors in developer mode. The menu names move from time to time and depend on your plan; on Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may need to allow custom connectors first.
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps and Connectors. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode.
- Press Create (or Add custom connector). Name it EasyClippers, paste the server address
https://easyclippers.com/mcp, and choose OAuth for authentication. - Confirm that you trust it and press Create. An EasyClippers page opens: sign in if it asks, check what ChatGPT will be allowed to do, and press Allow.
- In a chat, choose EasyClippers from the tools menu. ChatGPT asks you before each action that changes something.
Personal tokens and the API
For your own scripts, and for apps that send a fixed header, make a personal token in EasyClippers: Settings, API and connectors, New token. Give it a name, choose what it may do (see your work, record and use the Ask bar, post) and how long it lasts. The token is shown once: copy it then. Revoke it there any time.
The same actions are a plain web API at https://easyclippers.com/api/v1, with the token in the Authorization header:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" "https://easyclippers.com/api/v1/shorts?status=approved"
GET /me,/projects,/shorts(filters: status, project_id, q, since, until),/shorts/{id},/shorts/{id}/video,/accountsand/usagePOST /recordings(a link),/recordings/stop,/recordings/clip-now,/ask(a message),/ask/run(a plan token and confirm),/shorts/{id}/post(accounts or networks, and confirm)
What the assistant can and cannot do
- Nothing is posted unless you ask. Posting and running an Ask bar plan both need an explicit confirmation in the request, and a rejected or replaced short is never posted. Posting a short that waits for review does not approve it, and a short marked Needs your OK is posted from a chat only after you approve it.
- Billing stays with you. Turning the automatic top-up on or off is done in EasyClippers, Plan & usage, never from a chat or a token.
- You choose what it may do. When you press Allow, you can leave out recording or posting, and each personal token has its own permissions.
- Only your own account. A connection or token works only on your own projects and shorts. It never reaches another account, the admin pages or your password, and teammates cannot make tokens for the account they work in.
- Everything is listed. Settings, API and connectors shows each connected app and token, when it was last used, and its recent calls. Disconnecting or revoking stops it at once. A new token or connection is also emailed to you.
- Limits. Each connection and token has a rate limit, and access from Claude or ChatGPT renews itself every hour while it is in use.
Questions
- Does the connector cost extra?
- No. It works on every EasyClippers plan and the free trial. Recording, new shorts and the Ask bar's AI count toward your usage exactly as they do in the app.
- Which Claude and ChatGPT plans can add it?
- That is up to Claude and ChatGPT: custom connectors are on most of their paid plans, and Claude's free plan allows one. Check their own help pages if the menu above is missing.
- How do I disconnect it?
- In EasyClippers, Settings, API and connectors, press Disconnect next to the app. You can also remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
- Does Claude or ChatGPT see my password?
- No. You sign in on the EasyClippers page, and the app only gets a token for the permissions you allowed.
- Can my teammates use it?
- Each person connects their own account. Teammates working in your account cannot connect apps or make tokens for it; that stays with the account owner.
