An OpusClip alternative for streamers
OpusClip is built for uploaded videos. If most of your footage is live streams, here is how EasyClippers compares, using the prices both list on their own sites (checked November 4, 2026).
OpusClip is one of the best-known AI clipping tools, and it is good at what it was made for: you upload a podcast, an interview or a video, and it cuts it into shorts. Streams are different. They are hours long, the moments are spread out, and you want the clips while people are still talking about the stream. That changes what a tool needs to do and what it costs.
Live recording or uploads after the stream
OpusClip works on video you bring to it: you paste a Twitch or YouTube link after the stream, or upload a file. EasyClippers records your Twitch, YouTube or Kick stream from your channel link while you are live (or from OBS with a stream key of your own), finds the moments as they happen and has shorts ready before you end the stream. It can also start by itself when your channel goes live.
What an hour of stream costs
OpusClip prices by the minute of video: its Pro plan is $29 a month for 300 credits, one credit per minute, so about 5 hours of footage, or about $5.80 an hour. EasyClippers prices by the stream hour: Starter is $29.99 a month for about 50 stream hours, and plans start at $7.99 a month for 5 stream hours. For a streamer who goes live a few times a week, that difference decides whether clipping every stream is affordable at all.

Which one to pick
- Pick OpusClip if your footage is mostly uploaded podcasts and interviews, a few hours a month, and you want the tool most people already know.
- Pick EasyClippers if you stream: it records the stream itself, makes the shorts while you are live, and an hour costs about a tenth as much.
Questions
- Can EasyClippers clip videos I upload, too?
- Yes. Open the Editor, add your videos or clips (or paste a Twitch or Kick VOD link), say what you want, and it makes shorts or a YouTube video from them.
- Is there a free trial?

- Where do these prices come from?
